Lovely Lane Chapel was constructed in 1880. The magnificent stained glass windows are irreplaceable pieces of Old English Art Glass. Because of the historic charm and natural beauty of the chapel, very little decoration is required. The appealing entrance to Lovely Lane Chapel provides a beautiful backdrop for the bride to begin her walk down the aisle… her entrance is framed by magnificent stained Old English Art Glass windows.
With mild weather all year round, the grounds of Epworth By The Sea are always beautiful. Enjoy a beautiful stroll through island gardens to reach the chapel or a stroll along the Rush River Walk for a quiet moment together before greeting family and friends at their reception in the elegant Pioneer Room of the D. Abbott Turner Lodge. Many scenic locations across the Epworth grounds are ideal for outdoor/garden weddings. Please ask a reservationist about our inclement weather plans.
You may wish to place a commemorative brick on the “Walkway of Remembrance” around the Epworth fountain. Epworth offers a variety of accommodations for your guests to rest and relax the weekend of your wedding. Our catering staff are ready to meet the needs of your reception, bridesmaid luncheon or rehearsal dinner.
